OCGOP wins Best County Award

Oldham Era, Oldham County, Ky. (April 10, 2022) – The Oldham County Republican Party was recognized as the County of the Year at the Republican Party of Kentucky's 4th District Lincoln-Reagan Dinner on April 9th.

In announcing the winning county, 4th District Vice Chair Sarah Cameron, noted several of the achievements in Oldham County. "In 2021, despite COVID, the OCGOP pivoted from the traditional Lincoln Day indoor dinner to an outdoor BBQ picnic. The result was to net the largest amount ever to be raised from this annual event. In addition, the OCGOP has been active in their local community with voter registration drives, the Oldham County Day parade and and booths, hosting candidate forums, an increased social media presence, while doubling the number of attendees at their monthly meetings," said Cameron.

"I accept this award on behalf of all conservative Republicans throughout Oldham County who make our great county what it is today. This recognition belongs to everyone, from those individuals who have stepped up into officer roles within the party to all of the elected officials at the local and state level," Anderson said. In closing, Anderson noted, "with most of the local races being decided in the May 17th Primary Election, it is critical that Oldham Countians get out and vote!"
